Keila
M. Gilbert,
Esquire. - President and CEO BIOGRAPHY: Keila
Gilbert is a woman driven 'driven to succeed, to teach, to help, to
enjoy.' An entrepreneur,
lawyer, teacher and mother, she is a woman who has spent her entire
life breaking barriers. Her
motto "Dream it and make it happen." Keila
Gilbert is the President and Founder of The Alpha Resource Center,
LLC, an innovative professional organization dedicated to achieving
two important goals. The
first is to educate people about how and why they should strengthen
their marriages. The second is to help those who decide
to divorce, to do so in a manner that doesn't destroy them and their
family. "ARC"
is staffed with attorney mediators, therapists and accountants and
in a short decade has grown to 14 offices in Pennsylvania and New
Jersey and soon New York City.
In the past year alone, ARC has doubled the number of offices
and tripled its number of clients.
This growth is not surprising as marriages struggle and more
couples are seeking valuable guidance. Ms. Gilbert
began her career as a teacher though she always wanted to be a lawyer--
as was the case with so many women of her generation, she was not
encouraged to build a legal career. Today she uses her teaching experience, business acumen and
legal skills garnered during 15 years of private practice to teach
couples how to make better decisions. Good decision
making is critical in making any of life's major choices and Ms. Gilbert
is writing a book focusing on just that called, "Your Marriage:
Make It or Break It". This
book, written with noted psychologist Dr. Barry Ginsberg, pinpoints
the critical decisions and thinking that must go into deciding to
stay in or leave a marriage. A native of Montana, Ms. Gilbert has three children and lives in Bucks County, PA. She has a 21 year old son who attends UC Berkeley and two daughters ages 10 and 12 whom she recently adopted from Colombia. In her leisure time she enjoys reading, cross country skiing, theater, music and travel. With Ms. Gilbert's motto "dream it and make it happen" her goal is to take Alpha Resource Center national, bringing education and mediation services to couples and families all across the country.
