Tonia Knight

Overview

Tonia Knight is a licensed professional counselor working independently at A Better Me. She earned a Master’s degree in Community Counseling as a part of Alvernia University’s MACC program (2014). She earned her Bachelor’s degree at the University of Pittsburgh in 1998.

Ms. Knight has nearly 30 years of experience working in the field of psychology. Over the years, Ms. Knight gained knowledge and experience working in the special needs, drug and alcohol, and mental health fields. Early on in her career, Ms. Knight worked with kids, adolescents, and families in the schools, communities, and at home, performing wraparound services.

Ms. Knight has previously worked under the DOT (Department of Transportation) as an SAP (Substance Abuse Professional), where she evaluated individuals and assigned tasks to return to duty safely.

She began her own business, A Better Me, in 2022. There, she works with both teenagers and adults on an outpatient basis to address their mental health challenges and develop goals. It has been a lifelong goal of Ms. Knight’s to help others find resolution and build healthier relationships in life.
